Kahuku Chicken and Scampi
With only a week left into our time here in Paradise, we could not forgo the last chance on visiting the North Side of the island. WIth it's rustic charm, and old -skool Hawaiiana surroundings, it's always a nice refreshing getaway from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu city life. I guess for SGPeans, it's like us driving into Malaysia(without the crazy buying of rice, sugar, condensed milk etc.)...
And when you're in North Shore, for sure you gotta go for the shrimp scampi...Though I think the darn places are tourist traps(US$10 for one plate)...but I guess it's just somethin' you have to do when you drive up there. Funny how we pay 10 bucks to clog our arteries up with choke butter...All in all, the weather stayed pretty and the day turned out good.
en route to Haleiwa
