Tagged: The age that wish to go back to
Yet again, I've been extremely lazy in putting my thoughts into words(aka blogging). Plus, I had a lot more free time during those days of tertiary education...ahhh...those good old days.
Thanks to Sharon, I've got no excuse this time round not to put in a post. I've been urged to write on the age I wish I could go back to ...hmmm...
Honestly...my memories of yore has somewhat diminshed(or is in the process of disappearing). I'm just not the sentimental sort I guess...I'm more concern about future events...say...doomsday....where I'll be walking around Orchard Road with a sandwich board with the words" Repent! The end is near!"
*Thinks hard for a moment* ok....maybe the age I really wanna go back to is between 3-6 years old... Thoughts and life were a lot simpler, a little boy who just enjoyed new uncomplex experiences. The days of growing up in the grandfolks Teng Tong Road home, playing marbles, getting chased by a stary dog(fuck), catching guppies in some drain somewhere, buying 555 cigarettes for grandpa and his mahjong kakis, playing ' police and thieves' with the neighbourhood kids, waiting anxiously for the Magnolia ice cream ah-pek to come on his ice cream bicycle(The 3 wheeler ones?), smelling the satay grilling on a back of a bicycle, going to Katong church on a trishaw with grandma at 530 am(wah lau eh), stealing mangoes, stealing bicycles, Christmas with the WHOLE family(I got presents then), ......That's as much as I can recall...it's sad but true.
I emphasize once again...I'm a visionary. I'm looking forward to 45. Because at 45, I wanna be financially debt free, and that would be the next milestone in my life when I update my blog when I'm 60 years old.
Cool.

Random Rant
Was watching PM's Rally on the telly. For once, I fail to have any contradicting comments towards his rollouts or plans. I have to admit it makes sense. Anyway, I'm contented with the outcomes to come. Ok maybe one thing, I wasn't so enthusiastic about 'the sons of Singapore' propaganda bit in between the Mandarin and English Rally broadcasts. I still have no love for the friggin army and shit. Speaking of which...reservist is coming up yet again, and I'm getting too fat for any chin-ups and 2.4 clicks. *groan*
I'm beginning to feel lacklustre at work. I think I'm putting maximum input in my work, but the results have yet to show for it. Ok...maybe I'm bloody impatient and my tuned mindset toward results orientated achievements is benchmarked a little too high. Then again, that's what makes me good and needing to innovate and improve constantly. So...double whammy...can't please myself, and everybody. *groan* I'm gonna hang in there for a set time frame, and if I don't prove my worth or reap the rewards of my efforts...I'll make the decision to move to hopefully greener pastures.
Unto a different topic altogether...I'll never understand women ever. Fickle, unpredictable, hard to please creatures of the human race. Moms, girlfriends, friends all and everything to do with the female of the species. Ok...to be fair, men are no better but at least it's a well known fact that we're stubborn, head-strong and we make arseholes of ourselves ever so once in a while. Enuff said, I wanna samba in a gay pride mardi gras soon.
oh....and my butt hurts from Saturday because of the unintentional move to do a bicycle kick at futsal. Also will be looking forward to slicing off the chunk on my knee in September. It really bugs me and hooray for an excuse to skip the once a year military fatness...eehh...i mean fitness test

Facebook- The new frenster
The internet is fun yet again...! (I spend a good part of my middle aged life conjuring emails and replying them)
Getting to know and Chatting with strangers, Unknowingingly talking to your paedophile neighbours, spank and head butting friends, Food fights etc...This facebook thing is way cooler than frenster or Myspace for sure. I took awhile to be swayed into building a profile but I had some spare office time on my hands, so why not...
http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=619595460
Oh yea...I'm also whacking monsterson the free MMORPG, Dungeon Runners...I'm cheap.

What I would do with $1million
Felt compelled to blog after seeing Lantern gal's post http://princesslen.blogs.friendster.com/my_blog/
Although, realistically in todays world, 1 million bucks is puny and doesn't go a long way....SO anyways...here goes...what I would if I won/had/acquired(somehow) 1 million bucks:
1) Still live with my parents...nyuk
2) Give my folks a sum of 50K each...I'll probably invest it for them in a medium term interest bearing gratuity with cashable amounts for expenditure every month
3) Invest 200,000 in Unit trusts or REITS(Real Estate Investment Trusts)
4) Invest 200,000 in an Investment linked policy
5) Invest 200,000 in various stock options medium to long term( SGX & NASDAQ)
6) Invest 100,000 in beefing up my medical insurance coverage
7) Last but not least...the last 200,000 for a small business startup with a reliable partner.("SUPERNERDs TUITION CENTER" or "GREEN FINGERs SALAD BAR...) somewhere along those lines.
If all goes well...I can soundly look forward to be debt free by 52.
P.S. I'll still work my butt off for now
