What it feels like to be divorced

I have to admit...I think I now realise what it feels like when a divorce takes place.

And with no surprise....it sure feels like shit shit shit.

Coming back home to the same home where an estranged or unfaithful partner whom you recently lost or seperated from, but still having to share the same premises and sleeping arrangements as before during happier times....shit shit shit.

Maybe Bono from U2, when he composed the song " so close yet so far" was going through one of those episodes....Ultimately it definitely relates to how the parties( and especially the ones hurt by it) would feel emotionally. shit shit shit.

As an educator...lesson well learned i suppose. Definitely drove the lesson well deep since it was a 'practical hands on' one as well.

Ouch.

4D number from nene aka Crazy Horse

If you're reading this...GO BUY THIS NUMBER at Singapore Pools for the Saturday, Sunday draw

3014

This is advice from Nene, whose mum won 40K and up with some random numbers she gave them....and according to her...she's known as the lucky crazy horse.(not the artistically nudey show at Clarke Quay)....Mum's been striking 4D pretty often...almost every other month

I'll be placing 10 big 10 small...not normal in my case(I only place $1 bets once in a blue moon)....

But hey....I sure wouldn't mind a nice cash bonus(if it happens)...to cheer me up from the bleak and gloomy times I'm facing right now

SO....KEEP YOU FINGERS AND TOES CROSSED...AND GOOD LUCK

Badly Broken...but

In light of recent unexpected life-changing events, I share with all a couple of quotes:

Better never to have met you in my dream than to wake and reach for hands that are not there.- Otomo No Yakamochi

Here's to the women we love, here's to the women that love us... Since the women that we love, aren't the women that love us ... screw the women... here's to us.-Anonymous

I’m going to smile and make you think I’m happy, I’m going to laugh, so you don’t see me cry, I’m going to let you go in style, and even if it kills me- I’m going to smile.- Anonymous

Help Anna

Though I found the soundbite at the start of this website to be slighty falsified and exaggerated, I think the fact that it's out there is not to be taken lightly.

Baby's wedding

Yet another wedding...October and November must be auspicious months for matrimony...

This time round was a friend from secondary school. Was nice to meet up with all the old cliques and found out most are already wedded...Geez...some even with 2 kids running around already. And as usual, facing the usual questions of when's my turn....

Amazingly enough, everyone still was the same, looked the same, and still the same crazy fun people. You know what they say....You only get to meet with, and reunite at weddings and funerals.

So anyways, congrats to Baby and hubby...(forgot the husband's name- alamak) and have a great life together.

To my foreign counterparts- this is a glimpse into a Malay style wedding.

The old cliques- with kids in tow
traditional bride and groom thingy
Gather the masses- Malay weddings are great for community bonding and meeting your neighbours

congrats once again to the VIllas

Another one bites the dust....falling into the marriage trap.

Honestly though, have a blessed and happy with one another! Next time I come up to Hawaii, I expect to see some little Villas... :)

Good pics from the photographer!

New zhe char stall at my regular coffeeshop

Saturday Fine Dining Dinner at the nearby coffeeshop...Checked out the new zhe char(cooked food) stall, they specialised in fish head steamboat...Then again, a little too much if I ordered it...so decided on the hor fun(fried flat rice noodles in a seafood sauce). Taste wise...I think I've tasted better ones around and I think I'll try the steamboat when Poops is around.

Hong Kong pics finally...

At last, finally got off my lazy arse to go purchase a USB to MiniB cable(yup-that's what hey call it) for my camera. These were pics taken in Hong Kong while I was there for 3 weeks. Don't think I ever wanna work there(54 hour weeks), and it was a tour of duty that didnt have a pleasant outcome. But anyways....enjoy the pics

A big muthafriggin load of food...the mix grill special in a typical HK cafe. I couldn't finish the darn thing...

When you go to HK, gotta have a milk tea...
Alone and hungry
Hong Kong Island Harbor ferry terminal overlooking Kowloon
Every time I walk past this pastry shop, I get the drools. Lo Poh Peng(old wives cake) some of the best I've tasted
Shops...shops...and more shops
mysuper good and cheap S$1.50 Shui Kao noodles....darn good!!! Causeway Bay I think...
Some bar in Lan Kwai Fong...
You could smell this from miles away...Greasy, stinky(don't kiss your girlfriend after)...The Chao Tau Foo(smelly tofu)

24 hours....a regular hang out in Wanchai after work drinking
Yup...it's friggin conjested...this was Goldfish Street or somethin'
Temple Street...tourist traps
Common roadside goodies....If your stomach can't handle substandard hygiene, avoid them!
Char Siu and Siu Yok Fan...WAY WAY better than the ones in Singapore for sure!

FInger Lickin' Not So Good

Poops has gone home...and alreadyI feel as if something is missing after coming back from work. The constant whining and moaning about work and weather is gone, the unguided barrage of weirdness when conversing with me, the 1.5 hour shower, lotion routine prior to sleeping... And strangely enough, I miss all those things.

Bah...getting soppy and sissified here...gotta to stop now or forever ruin my tough guy image... :P

Anyway, tonight will probably be the first and the last time I ever have KFC for dinner. Yucks...I was deciding on a the usual Curry Rice with 3 kinds of vegetable for $2.00 special, but instead( 'backside itchy'-as they call it here in S'pore') went for a 3 pcs Crispy Fried Chicken Meal. Wasn't all that bad, but I guess upon reaching the 2nd piece while eating, the grease sort of grossed me out. So definitely the last time in a long while before visiting the Colonel again.

I now realised why I was never a big fan of junk food. Anyways, here's a little trivia:

Anyone knows what the KFC mash potatoe sauce is made of? (You probably won't eat the stuff in years to come or for all eternity if you knew)

1st correct answer in the comments box wins a healthful Bedok Curry Rice Special with 3 vegetables.

PS: Eunice, I owe you one laksa at Marina Square Foodcourt for getting the right answer!

Friday blues

Come Fridays....the mind just seems to switch off. You go to work wanting to get things done and get stuff out of the way to be a little comfy when Monday starts but somehow, your brain just doesn't want to co-operate. Guess this are the little occupational hazards that happen. I'm distracted by my packet Mee-Goreng lunch, MSN messenger, amongst other redundant uninteresting stuff in the office(like seperating files by color, refilling every stapler there is).

I really should be tweaking and constantly innovating my training plans, perfecting my delivery and challenging myself to think about how better to get my audience to perform. But like I said, the brain ain't co-operating with me.

Poops will be on vacation soom for about 2 weeks, back home in Kobe. I'm honestly gonna be bored as hell without her around. All my friends are slowly falling prey to the marriage trap, and my resources for hang out buddies dwindling. On the other hand, it probably gives me ample time to go get mself fit for the upcoming reservist training. YEAH RIGHHHHHT.

So, while I try to coax my brain in coming out with productive work today...I'm wondering what the hell I'm eating for dinner tonight, or what DVD to rent....sigh....

I'm too bloody harsh sometimes

Taking the opportunity to apologise to Poops for my actions in bed last night. (Don't get the wrong idea...nothing to do with THAT)

I'm sorry if I was too harsh in telling you and Pyuks to shut up... My conscience along with sleep deprivation has been bugging me throughout the day. I really need my rest to function and do what I do now in the day.

Yes, I'm really sorry. It really got onto my bad side, I do get really annoyed especially when I'm trying to sleep and not being able to because of the endless whispering and giggling. You would have been pissed as well...That said...I shouldn't have been so harsh.

On the brighter note, enjoyed seeing Pyuks yet again. Think she had a nice vacation and at the Villa's wedding , and especially her uncle whom was washing down Balestier Road Founder Bak Kut Teh like a sumo eating his nabe. Will be looking forward to taking a vacation in Tokyo or Himeiji etc...

And don't worry, I won't be asking you to shut up anytime soon. :P

Burp

Came back home from a Hari Raya gathering at Im's place last night...of course, there was too much food(as usual) and of course, the usual Singaporean practise of stuffing oneself silly. Despite the instant weight gain program faced by all during such gatherings, the kembing soup, mee siam, fried chicken etc was too good to mention. A superb collaboration between the married couple's(Im + Nura) two mothers led to extremely satisfied Hari Raya guests. yum. Wish I had pictures.
