New heights of tolerance
It's been another great 2 days off yet again. Nothing exciting but just the mere enjoyment of doing zilch is extremely satisfying. The usual laudry, Walmart/Daiei outing and house chores...Jeeezzz, I'm getting boring and domestic and lovin' it... Urgh.
Experienced yet another encounter with an abusive CB guest before I went on my off days. Had this party of 5, 2 adults and 3 young kids. Kids were shouting at top of their lungs and flinging silverware around the tables and causing quite a stir. Mum and Dad just played along, letting them do whatever the hell they wanted.(Throughout my time here, I've seen the worst in parenthood). One of my Lead hostess(and also one of the most friendliest person I've known and did I mention 15 years in the bizness?) took the initiative, went up to the table and asked politely if they could calm their kids down coz' guests seating around them did not pay top dollar to eat at "Chuckee Cheese". Apparently guests seating around were not amused by the ruckus. And then the "circus" began...
Guests felt they were told to leave, wanted to see the Manager. GUESS WHO?
1)Saw and talked to hostess first to evaluate situation then went over to table. 2)Went over to table, made sure 1st if they enjoyed the dinner.
3)Listened to "complaint" and then apologised and asked if I could do anything to make up for hostess "actions", further explaining hostess just doing her job to accomdate to all our guests by having nice quiet dinner in nice fancy restaurant. Wanted hostess to apologize for 'chasing' them out because of kids.
4)Quote: "I'm an attorney" " This is discrimination" "I will take to all the levels to bring your establishment down"
5)Went to hostess to ask if she could just pull on the rhino skin suit to apologize, said NO coz' she did nothing wrong.
6)Agreed that she was just doing her job and I pulled on my rhino skin suit to apologize on her behalf. Did just that...guest still not happy...Ask for my biz card and I gave it to him. Said he will bring it "to all levels to make us jobless"
7)Said sorry once more but guest said: " I'll stay for another 4 hours to fuckin piss everyone off in your restaurant"
8)I said:"You are welcomed to do that, and in no way are we trying to get you out of the restaurant." I left table after
To make the story short, prior to leaving, he tapped his H2O glass with a fork and announce loudly to everyone around him. " I'm sorry my family and I ruined your evening, but I hope you're happy now that we're being kicked out."
Keep in mind that this was after they already had their dinner and paid.
I was standing at hallway of restaurant, attending to other bizness. Guest walks past me, stops and says," You're lucky my wife is here." (I was with my exec. chef and another server at the time, we were standing side by side)
Baffled, I asked, why so?
"If she wasn't, (while pointing his finger at me)I would have fuckin dragged your ass out of this restaurant and whacked you. You're a pussy Assitant Outlet Manager who couldn't get his fuckin hostess to apologize to my wife."
He walked off after which. Chef and server around me all baffled. I felt like a punching bag but kept my cool and just let it go...Those of you who read this probably know I would have whipped his fucking ass there and then. However, over the years I've taught myself well and I know it's not worth it.
Anyway, waiting to see if anything comes out of it, whether or not Mr. Attorney from Orange County is gonna do anything...Will keep you all informed.
Thanks to my Mom and Pops for good parenting. I also believe in the ROTAN and that all too famous phrase:" You misbehave now but when you go back home you watch out..." "Aiyah...cia lat...go home sure kenah already" That shut me up real good as a kid. Thanks

Subconscious domestic violence

Hi folks, I was recently involved in an incident of domestic 'violence'. Furthermore I was the agressor by poopie's testimony...No folks, there's no cause for alarm, neither the need to call the cops nor enrolling me into anger management classes.
In fact, it was pretty darn hilarious when I heard about it. I was in the deepest of sleep at the time of the incident, and I guess it was the work of my subconscious brain. At 530am, *snore*, apparently I had elbowed poopie's little helpless fart filled friend Pinky(her much adored pink rabbit soft toy), and according to her it wasn't that soft of a blow. Pinky shielded the first impact and rolled listlessly away to a side, then came the second blow to poopie herself. Poopie woke up wondering what the hell happened, she faced me momentarily and saw that I had my eyes half opened in an evil fashion...I mumbled something, closed my eyes and fell back into dreamland...After which she told me i was munching something in my sleep...
I had no recollection of any of what took placed of course...No, I wasn't intoxicated as many of you would like to believe. However, don't you often wonder what goes on in your brains while you're deep asleep? And it sucks in even more when you don't even remember a bit of it after waking up?
In the meantime, I'm gonna lay off the Cheetos amongst other snacks prior to bedtime...

Candlelight insecurities

It had been quite a week...I'm only now recuperating from the 4th of July weekend ordeal with my much deserved 2 days off. The week saw us being swarmed by unforecasted amounts of people, and must I add, it made matters much worst as I was kinda feeling under the weather. (All thanks to a friend who decided to share her germs-you know who are...)
And as usual, the unusual happens...Never a dull moment where I work at that's most certain.
Had this party of three, what seemed like a nice couple and their grandkid, finally secured their very own table near the beach...we were swarmed so I guess like most other people, they did stake out in the zone for quite a while just to finally chance upon a seat. Anyways, upon seating down, the usual happens...greeted by server, server introduces herself...all of sudden, server gets shouted at...And mind you it wasn't much of a whisper as well...
Server wondered WASSSSUUUPPP??? Male guest was irate over a candle...
WHHAAAATTT????
Yes, a candle....so happens we ran out of the usual red candles for the night and had to use a white one. Same design, same supplier, same flame, just plain white and not red...He then demanded to see the manager, guess who?
Anyway, problem was solved by switching candles with neighbouring table...Male guest said he felt 'singled out' and discriminated against...Jeeezz...GO FIGURE...
Possible victim of child abuse when young? or simply plagued by freakin issues??? Whatever it was, it was freakin weird....and there's always a first time for everything...hope it's the last.
P.S>Even guests on the next table were baffled coz they overheard...
