back at work

I'm feeling kinda lazy in the office today...Think it's the after effects of the mind numbing routine in reservist. Anyway, I'm fooling around with You Tube and chanced upon a couple Theresa Teng Videos....weird but u never seem to get sick listening to Tian Mi Mi, etc etc.... I know Iknow, I'm vintage nostalgic.

Anyway, Bintan was a cool short getaway. Tad Pricy, stuck in the resort due to the weather and infrastructure but I guess that's why I'm there for eh.... Great Service( 20X better than Sunny Island Singapura 50 mins away...really) Great Spa with ambience( got scrub, Balinese rub down, Indian Head Massage) and yup...enjoyed it.

I still have my issues with getting butt naked in public though. More updates when I'm free k. Enjoy the Video for now.

morbid moments

While watching the telly(no particular program), suddenly came a moment of morbid conversation amongst the family living room.


Topic- When I die, how do I want my ashes dealt with.


Ok...I suppose the program we were watching had something to do with it, probably some drama serial which a character might have died. Sob....But anyway....


Mom:"Just sprinkle my remains in East Coast Park, or some beach/sea...."
Dad:"Me too lah...Where your mom goes, I'll go lor"
Me: "Uhhh....how sweet. Ok?"


I then realised my folks and I probably have something in common.(which is unimaginable sometimes). I would personally wish for my ashes to be sprinkled into the sea...but of course, not East Coast Park please...Please sprinkle them out at Sherwoods aka Waimanalo Beach (Honolulu, Hawaii). I will bequeath the air ticket and accomodation along with all expenses for a week to whomever is gonna expedite this.


So, friends and family, or whoevers reading this post, kindly grant my last wish in time of my unexpected departure from the mortal world.


P.S. please have the funeral at Zouk. Be happy and get pissed drunk cuz I'll be in a less cruel world. Thanks.

Went down to Eu Tong Sen St.( better known as Chinatown) after ending yet another mind numbing security shift in the morning. Refreshing to be there at 930am in the morning sans the crowds. I try to avoid crowds wherever possible, especially ah-peks who scream into their handphones at the top of their lungs-or the ah-mas unintentionally poking you with their brolly.

Why the heck I'm in Chinatown you're wonderin'....No. Not stocking up on bak kuah for the upcoming Chinese New Year festivities, neither there to search for the new less fat lup cheong...Ok..so, I'm walking around fully clad in my SAF camouflage number 4, and somehow i seem to get the stares. Dunno why.(was there a KICK ME sign pasted on my back i wonder) But sure enough with the stares comes some strange(a little off the rocker) fellow, I'm assuming he's a Chinese National from the Peking accent-wanting to take a picture of me with his family in tow. Failing to comprehend what his fascination was with me in uniform and trying hard to understand the heck he's saying half the time, I simply obliged. Snap away buddy...and in one morning, I became Singapore Tourism Board's new tourist attraction. I probably should start charging for this in time...

Anyways, will be looking forward to my short spa getaway in Bintan next week, mudwraps, facials(not that kind...), massages.... Hoooo-Raaaa

Blazing forth into 2007

Strict restrictions on the usage(possession) of laptops and other memory saving devices in the armed forces had a huge impact of the regularity of blog updates. Short of feeling woozy after ending a 24 hour shift duty, I'm taking great effort to jog my memory and put in black and white. For those who know me, you would know by now my memory bank is as short and random as a cockroach( if they have memories).

2007...what feels like the beginning of a great roller coaster ride, pure excitement and thrills so far. Here's a Summary-

Workfront- Big big projects and expansion in stone, with the signing of 3 more leisure and country clubs. I had to cut short a crap session when the boss called...all excited and too-willing to spread the good news. Me...? I'm excited but at the same time, concerned over administrative and logistical issues which is forthcoming. Sidelining somewhat- Am involved in a new 3,800sqft restaurant opening in Dempsey. Cool...

Reservist- I'm getting fat and constantly bored out of my wits. Enuff said. I've succumbed to watching infomercials on the telly at 4 am in the morning.

Social- This is a year to be reckoned with I think. I'm meeting far too many people to remember their names. sigh....will make it a point to.

$$$- spending a little too much over the festive season and such. Makes matters worst when Chinese New Years' just around the corner. Gotta try to keep myself in control.

Lovelife- So bloody exciting it's almost scary. Want details? Ask me.

Overall- Looking forward with much optimism. According to fengshui, gotta wear something green(emerald, jade...) to ward off the negative chi.

Serving the Nation- Camp for Fatties

First of all- Happy Friggin' New Year to one and all....hope you had as much of a gay time as i did. (which explains why I'm only updating this blog 5-6 days after the new years')

Ok...also maybe I'm serving my nation for the next 3 weeks at the moment. 2007 has indeed kicked off with a bang! I find myself in this dilapidated area in Singapore, fulling enjoying the generous welfare of the Armed Forces. Eating the catered food that my ex-army buddies been raving about, drinking cheap beer while on duty, soaking in the last remaining jungle greenery, playing cho tai tee, plucking durians and rambutans in the wild, catching lizards as pets etc....In fact, I've been sleeping a lot more than I did while in the real working world. I hate to admit, but I find myself actually enjoying the mind numbing and fattening experience. It's making me fat....haha

Anyways...while that's going on....still waiting on pics from the new years...will upload them as soon as I get them. For now...it's just a lil preview.
