What I do for a living...

Over the course of these few months, I've realised that I have a challenge of explaining to people, or the common layman, what I actually do for a living. I mean, it's much simpler to say 'training', but I feel as if I'm shortchanged. I'm actually involved in a whole motherload of assisting an organisation in putting in place a structure/system of learning and development within them....ok...Did I lose you already...

Hence, I've decided to list it on the blog to give MYSELF a better idea, and reiterate this to people I meet.

Ok....so, I'm from the Corporate Academy, and essentially what we do is build a learning and development institution in your organisation. So in example, instead of going to a learning institution such as SHATEC or a hospitality school in which to upgrade the skills and gain a qualification/or to get cetified, we come into your organisation to make you one. This means, we'll equip you with all the components that are needed to get this going. In terms of providing you with customisable cirriculum materials, accreditation or the ability to issue internationally recognised certification, provide you with the qualified trainer/L&D specialist, whom is capable in delivering training based on your SOPs(Standard Operational Procedures),

To be continued....

I've been lazy

Okok...so I've been bugged by the FONGster about me not updating my blog and yadda, yadda, yadda. Truth be told, I've been lazy and the fact that I stare and 'work' at my laptop the whole work day, puts me off entering literature of photos of any sort.

So, upon 'popular' request, I've decided to get off my lazy butt and continue with this chronologial record of my life.Where do I start?

Work: Switched from training from Business Development. The challenges are definitely present, selling an intangible system of total learning and development in an organisation is not the easiest thing in the world...sheesh. On the other hand, great networking opportunities gained so far, it's really 'who you know and who knows you' at the end of the day. Am I boring you already?

Life: 4 months with my muffin (points at tummy)...No major ups and downs, relationship at a constant. It's all good. That's just because I'm such a patience guy. HAHAHAHAHA. Contemplating taking some martial art namely Chanbara. Recent visit to Tan Tock Seng to remove a enlarged calcification on my knee...had a silly diagnosis from the doctor, send me to physio instead....duh....gotta wait till Sept to tell him to cut the darn thing off again. I'll post a picture of it when I get the chance.

Makan: Been checking out quite a bit of new places and eating quite a lot actually. I'm getting a wee bit conscious about my weight, only for health reasons and fitting into my trousers. And I really should start some form of regular activity...then again easier said than done.

Till next time.....
