November in Retrospect

The month of November came and went so quickly. In essense, it had been a fruitful month full of progression on the workfront.

Thanksgiving proved to be busy for the hotel where we saw overbookings at the restaurant's thanksgiving buffets(yea...I had my leftover turkey dinner after which), and of course the bar was being its usual busy self. Better and more detailed planning saw smooth operations flow without any hiccups. THANK goodness.

The motnh of Novemeber also saw numerous appreciation cards and great guest comments personally. Made yet many a return customer, and on top of which, received gifts from some. Here's a run down:

1 bottle Chateau Motelena Zinfandel from Mr. Aldrige(California)
1 $10 phone card from Fred and Sheila(London, England)-Great couple whom had been coming back to the hotel every year for the last 15 years. Got me a phone card to get me to call homemore often....'Lectured' this young chap on the importance of calling your mom and dad...so I promised them will call this Sunday.
3 thank you cards(I cannot recall who they were coz I meet so many people everyday...oops)

1 plate lunch
2 tickets to the Honolulu Symphony(gave it away cuz I had to work) from Aunty Maryanne.(regular guest)

Well...the hotel buiness has its perks...It's nice to feel appreciated beyond monetary rewards(if any). Maybe that's why I still do what I do...
